Examples of our retail work
THE CROFT HOUSE
BRANDING, INTERIOR
BrandWorks was engaged by the Accor Group to completely reimagine the ground floor restaurant of the Sebel Hotel, Brisbane. The process began through a thorough strategic investigation of the site, its opportunities, competitors and local customer sentiment. The concept evolved, with a Modern Australian accent, coined as the theme of 'Effortless Abundance'. A priority of the emerging CBD consumer called for dining solutions to accomodate busy lifestyle demands, informing an all day dining concept.
THE BATHS MIDDLE BRIGHTON
BRANDING, SIGNAGE
Approached by owner and celebrated chef, Paul Raynor, BrandWorks was engaged to envision a new brand identity for The Baths, Middle Brighton.
Housed in the historical beachfront building, The Baths are a defining piece of Art Deco architecture. Originally destroyed by a violent storm in 1934, the building was restored in 1936 during the Art deco movement. Resurrected, the building stands as a monument to the freedom of the period - an escape, from the challenges of the time, into a world of sophistication, decadence and leisure.
SO.9
BRANDING, INTERIOR
So 9, which translates to ‘Number 9’, is the lucky number in Vietnamese culture. Situated in Waterloo, Sydney, So 9 restaurant serves up authentic Vietnamese street food in a refined, minimal and contemporary setting. The brief was to design a brand and store that was an homage to the client’s own Vietnamese roots as well as their Australian upbringing. The restaurant melds together traditional street food cues with a pared back interior inspired by the client’s love of fashion and Scandinavian design.
THE GRAIN STORE
BRANDING, INTERIOR, VISUAL ART, FEASIBILITY
BrandWorks was engaged to develop a new food concept to breathe life into an unloved area, on the west-end of Flinders Lane. We presented feasibility studies to the landlord to ensure the concept would work, and tapped into the area’s rich history of grain and stock warehousing to craft the brand.
