Vietnamese has a new name.

Cheeky, fun and urban-inspired, Hochi Mama brings to the city a serve of Vietnamese fusion food, great cocktails in a casual dining space. BrandWorks was approached by its co-founders to re-imagine the larger-than-life personality of Hochi Mama, as the patron of art with a unique street-edge within a eatery-bar context. An Asian fusion-inspired menu and bar concept called for a cool, playful and modern brand identity, that cut through the noise of other safe asian eateries. 

Taking avant-garde branding and interior design, the studio was more inspired by fashion, social media identities and retail brands rather than simply looking at ‘hospitality’. The brief was to enable the place to be fun, day or night, and completely overthrow the stereotypical image of a Vietnamese restaurant. Loud colour, distressed typefaces, street art and rough edges make this place 'Viet-curious’, with a strong sense of discovery and adventure.
