Branding Creative Lead Designer

We are a small design studio focusing on how to help clients to thrive in the market through marketing, branding and interior design. With offices in Jakarta, Melbourne, Sydney, Shanghai, and Bangkok, our specialty lands on food and hospitality.
About the role
This is a role for a creative mind and a business mind; you are in your element when you are creating ideas and you know how to communicate them effectively. You know successful branding comes with strategic thinking and budget control.
Specifically, we are looking for a Branding Creative Lead on a contract basis.
The Lead Designer is a key team member who takes ownership over creative projects. Working closely with the Co-founders and Senior Designer you are mentoring and art directing the graphic design team as well as overseeing all projects.
You will be responsible for creating and executing original and compelling branding concepts. Oversee collaborator and print production. You will meet clients, conduct client meetings and participate in brand strategy workshops. Your time will be divided into 50% Art directing, overseeing all projects in the studio, and 50% design projects of your own.
You make sure that the design process is followed and you evolve studio procedures for best practice.
You work very closely with the Co-founders to make sure they are aware of what’s happening in the design department and you communicate and give feedback constantly to the design team. You are the bridge between the Co-founders and the designers.

You are a highly conceptual thinker who develops a diverse range of compelling creative ideas, who has the ability to think strategically as well as aesthetically. You know where the design world is headed and can talk confidently about trends and forecasts.
You can communicate effectively verbally as well as visually, presenting design rationale is easy for you to the clients as well as internally. You are the studio leadership to provide insights and feedback on project status and every projects in the studio.
You inspire people. Mentor and impart knowledge to other designers.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE
5 years of experience working in any graphic design field.
Keep up-to-date with industry developments (lifestyle, hospitality and F&B).
A keen eye for visual details, generating fresh concepts, and strong aesthetic taste.
Technical proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is a must. Knowledge in Figma, Adobe XD, Adobe premiere pro, and Adobe After Effects is preferable.
You demonstrate a portfolio showcasing experience working as a graphic designer with printed and digital outputs.
Have either experience or interest in the process of creating a brand.
You have excellent communication skills (Bahasa and English), you know the right questions to ask, and you have incredible attention to detail and great planning skills.
You are willing to work efficiently and also take the time to collaborate and pass on their knowledge.
Able to interpret briefs and come up with solutions.
Ability to meet deadlines and collaborate with team members.
Ability to assist Creative Lead with graphic designs from conception to delivery and reviewing junior designer drafts to ensure quality.
Ensuring brand consistency throughout various projects.
You inspire people. Mentor and impart knowledge to other designers.
